Short info:

Oneida is an exchange student from the kingdom of Mistral. Being from this country she is able to speak English and the would be "Japanese"-esque language Remnant might have (not confirmed yet) which makes her bilingual. She came to Vale in order to complete her training and become a huntress. 

Most of the time she is a gentle young lady, with a very soothing voice. She sees greatness in most people, and is well mannered thanks to her customs back in her homeland. There is one common quirk though. Despite this however, she does have her odd moments. If we were to compare her with the RWBY girls, we could say she's the Yang of the group when these moments happen. Nevertheless, she is undoubtivly the most "amusing" and entertaining of the team next to Violet. 

She has a secret heritage, that she doesn't like to mention to others unless she trusts them. She is actually a Faunus, and a chinese dragon Faunus at that, which is very rare. She has  a long chinese dragon tail which she keeps hidden by wrapping it around her waist like a belt, underneath her faulds, and some of the tail's scales have spread across her body, primarily her back, thighs and shoulders, however some grew on her arms and cheeks. In order to emulate her dragon appearance more, she sharpened her fangs by hand, in order for them to appear more dragonesque. Being part chinese dragon she has a few quirks, both good and bad. For starters, being a chinese dragon gives her the aura skill "flare" which allows her to engulf her body in a single burst of fire which turn her scales red, her eyes yellow (and her pupils turn into slits), and fill her with a flame like aura surrounding her. This skill also allows her to breathe fire. On the other hand, one of her bad quirks is the fact that her dragon side caused her to be quite greedy at times. She is easily allured by gold and jewels, and other items of value. She knows of her greed and hates it, but the poor girl  just cant help herself.

Her weapon, Emerald Flame, is a dragon wing shaped fire sword. It has a golden blade with emerald "membranes", and jewels around her handle. It also has the word "Emerald Dragon" carved in katakana. The blade has a flame fuse which coats the blade with red dust, and when sparked by the trigger mechanism on the handle, turns the blade on fire. The flames are increased in flare mode. She is a very skilled swordsman, and very swift as well. 

UPDATE: During the Fall of Beacon, Oneida and the rest of Team VOID fought off countless Grim along other Teams, while other students evacuated. Eventually, they had no choice but to retreat, abandoning the School. Oneida fought off a flock of Gryphons that tried to kill two students.

Another note is that with the confirmation of dragon Grim in the latest episode, that Grim type might be either her most hated or most feared Grim to combat. This is still on debate

She becomes the second member of team VOID and is partnered with Ignis.
